Red Dawn
I awakened long before sunrise on the first day of 2004. I wondered
what this new year would bring to all the life forces on Mother Earth.
I quietly stepped outside to find a stillness of great silence as
I loaded my pipe for morning prayer. I watched the night sky fade into
gray and suddenly saw streaks of red slowly appearing signaling the
birthing of the new years sun. I observed the sky change from red into
beautiful patterns of shaded salmon colors racing across a soft blue sky.
The serenity of the moment touched my heart as it blossomed into a breath
of sacred loveliness. There are no words to describe how my heart
overflowed with joy from this gifted moment of creation.
I offered
the pipe up in prayer, asking Wakan Tanka what this new year would bring
to the Sacred Mother Earth and all of her children. Once again, I feared
our future and made a promise to always honor the red that shines at
dawn.
For days, the duality of the color red rolled over me,
haunting my every thought, again reminding me of the element of fire, the
latest bloodshed, the war, the hate, each having positive and negative
connotations upon our world.

Awesome Power |
 |
The magic and mystical powers of all
color is where the mind meets the universe. How we feel
and see color is impressed upon our learning abilities coming from
our cultural background and our feelings of the moment. On a
positive note, we know color can heighten creativity, resolve
emotional problems, rebuild a self image, influence morale, heighten
creativity and reduce stress. The depth of a thought can
produce vivid colors of healing energy.
For
instance: A Clairvoyant can see and feel the inner functions
of a physical body. Once the damaged area is located, the healer can
reverse the destructive energy, correcting the imbalance.
The impact of the brain's chemical influences comes from our past
experiences and from our psychological and our physical health.
All colors communicate knowledge, using the mind to
store its personal meanings in memories and dreams. This information
is retained in the sub-conscious mind and will express to the world
through feelings, moods, and opinions. This energy in color
continually transmits an awesome power, giving us a symbolic
meaning to what the eyes embrace; such as a flower, a tree, a stone,
a landscape, the creepy crawlies, the animals, the flying ones, the
fin ones and the human, using all visual representations of the
color ring.
Look around. Color is everywhere and
always affecting us; from the green grass, the blue sky, to the
night sky. Think of the pale green or soft blue colors, used in
government offices, hospitals, businesses and prisons. These colors
control the environment and give a calmness to all that enter their
domain.
Many businesses and homeowners have become aware of
the ancient art of Feng Shui, the placement of your things to create
harmony and balance in your environment. Big Corporate offices
exercise this spiritual approach to create harmony into the work
place.
Color attracts where the mind is. Everyone has an
inner ability to feel the meaning of color. The smart entrepreneurs
of the world use the power of color to target their customers. They
consistently use color to attract you to their product using logos,
displays, images, advertisements, giving them an advantage in the
buying market. The next time you buy a product, is it the colorful
packaging or an impulse purchase?

Red demands attention |
 |
Everyone has individual color preferences. These
are developed early on in life and have evolved through years of
experiences. Think of the colors we use to decorate our homes. When
we buy a car, the color is a very personal expression of self. What
about the ads that emphasize the color red; lustrous sexy lipsticks,
nail polish, essential red rose oils, hair dyes etc. They all imply
if we use the product we will look sexier, younger and more
beautiful.
What about your collective wardrobe? Why do you buy certain
colors to wear and refuse others? How many times have you stood
looking in your closet and can't find a thing to wear. Whatever your
decision, it will tell the world what you are feeling for the day.
The chosen color will be selected by the mood, attitude and memory
through your thoughts, personality, actions, speech, deed, and
posture. .
Every holiday, people decorate with red to
celebrate the festivity, hoping to create peace and harmony during
this legendary time with family and friends. I question this. How
many marriages break up or families get destroyed during these
glorious times?
The color red demands immediate
attention, recognition, and allows us to be outrageous. What
about the symbolic meaning in the colorful flags of every country,
clubs, scouts, organizations, even the street gangs use color for
status recognition and identification.
When you think of the
power of red; red-blooded, red-light district, cupid, the devil
and valentines day. What about those flashing red lights,
stop signs, red warning marks on all poisons, red-flags, stop
lights, stop signs, police cars, ambulance, fire engines, red light
districts, "roll out the red carpet", paint the town red, red eye
flight, seeing red and in the red? Did you know temporary
blindness must see red before we can see another color?
Look
at the worlds cultural history and beliefs. There are researchers
who claim that Adam was made from red clay. The Catholic altars are
decorated in red to symbolize the Holy Ghost. In Christianity, the
red rose with the cross depicts bloodshed. The bible speaks of
painting a door or frame with the color red, or a red cross would
drive away evil.
Did you know the Egyptians used the color
red to write evil words to curse another? What about the many names
that suggest the color red? The element fire is associated with
Wakinyan, Firebird, Phoenix, and the Vermilion bird, all
associated with destruction or cleansing with fire, promising you
will rise from your ashes and receive re-birthing, renewal, success
and longevity.

Color of Strength |
 |
To change any vibrations, one
must come from a pure heart to gain the power of love and wisdom.
For the soul to bloom as beautiful as a red rose, one must
inhale the sweet fragrance of life, all the while being aware of its
protective thorns that guard her beautiful bloom. The rose will
take blood if you do not approach her with respect.
A
rose knows its strength and proudly displays this as she gracefully
sways in all of her beauty while being caressed by the soft
breezes of the wind. The red rose protects her beauty and maintains
a flow through every aspect of life. Sit with a rose and see her
proud face of honor. The ancient Greek Gods associated the color red
with a masculine concept of their world. They believed a red rose
was the symbol of love and fertility, the red rose represented
growth and decay.
The Neolithic people were commonly thought
to have lived around 8000 to 9000 B.C. Near the end of their era
they had domesticated the animal, developed agriculture and a
textile trade. The color red was accredited to their evolution,
even in death they were wrapped in red cloth and placed in
graves.
In India, they use a red wave length vibration
for a spiritual experience. Red is also used to stimulate their
energy centers located in the lower physical body.
Red
corresponds to the astrology signs of Scorpio and Aries, signs of
individuality, strength, and sexuality, flowing through the body in
infinite transitional shades.
In astronomy, a star is
considered a sun and the sun is a star. Astronomers state toward the
end of a star's life the temperature rises near the core. The size
of the star will expand by converting hydrogen to helium and
radiation. The heavier helium sinks to the center of the star which
depletes its life. When this occurs the star can no longer generate
enough energy and pressure to support its outer layers. As the star
collapses, the helium begins to burn, expanding it into a Red Giant.
This is the fate of our sun in about 5 billion years.
What
about the aggressive red planet Mars, a teacher that seeks and
destroys. It takes this planet approximately two years to go around
the sun. The human race has always been interested in this red
planet. We have created books and movies about Mars. When Mars, a
masculine planet moves close to our horizon, we call it the morning
star. The dual effect of the closeness of this planet can be the
giver of energy and courage or bring destruction. Mars gives us the
ability to develop a strong will and become a risk taker to succeed.
Mars also can create aggravation, passion, boldness, competitiveness
and assertiveness. Mars is connected to cutting objects and
associated to surgeons and blood. Mars teaches a warrior or
soldier to become one with their weapon.
The Germanic
races mode of thought and language believed in the magic of the
color red, demonstrating this through many old cave paintings.
They believed red bed clothing would take away fever and rashes
all the while rebuilding a healthy body.
The American
Indian as well as the Australian Aboriginal people painted their
weapons as well as themselves with the blood of an animal to
attain its power.
Again turning the pages of history,
the Romans believed if they drank the blood of their dying enemies
they would receive the enemy's strength for their own use. They
washed a newborn in blood to build its strength and give it physical
power for a strong life.
The Romans believed if they wore
red stones, like garnet or ruby, it would shield them from the
evil eye. They believed in the balance of the male and female
principles which again, demonstrates the power of red blood in your
veins symbolically used in life and death.
The Japanese
adhere to the old wedding customs. They use red garland, red veils,
red wedding dress and walk to the future mate on red carpet to
protect their vested love in the new marriage.
The history
and the spiritual belief of the American Indian race is hundreds to
thousands of years old. The sacredness of the color red starts with
each day and is filtered throughout our daily life. We are taught
from a very early age about these sacred ways. Our culture and
reverence to a higher power is our way. The red pipe is the strength
that connects us to all things. The bowl of the pipe is feminine
power and the stem is masculine power. There is a difference in the
shape of a man's and woman's pipe bowl. The man's pipe bow is
straight, whereas a woman's pipe bowl is shaped as an elbow. A
devoted follower of the red road will smoke their sacred pipe at
sunrise and sunset and all ceremonies. The smoking of the pipe is to
sanction all sacred vows to assure our actions will correspond to
every prayer that we place in our pipe. To the American Indian
red is the first color ray of the sun. This sacred color
creates the energy to increase the magnetism and energy for
our spiritual power and sacred rituals. When we pray with our sacred
red pipe, we are joining our selves with all life, asking
Wakan Tanka to bless and sanction our prayers.
THE TECHNIQUES TO SEE THE AURA IN COLOR
Sit in a
dimly lit room. Light a red candle and still the mind by slow
breathing. Stare into the flame without blinking your eyes. They may
tear in the beginning, disregard this. At first, you will see the
energy of the candle. When you feel a certain burn behind the eyes,
close them and roll your eyeballs up toward the ceiling, leaving the
eyes lids closed. Look through your inner eye, (between the eyebrow)
and you will see the candle and flame. In the beginning, it will
look like a negative on a film. Disregard this. In time you will see
the candle in full color.

EXCERPT from the Novel "WIND WOLF
WOMAN" |
 |
The pipe and the seven rites were
given to the people by a woman called, "White Buffalo Calf Woman".
Our ways of the pipe came from White Buffalo Calf Woman. They say
that she lives far beyond the stars and the gift of the pipe
comes from Ate', her father. She came to earth very long ago and
taught the people the seven sacred rites on our pipe and how to use
them. When her mission was completed, she promised that someday she
would return, telling us that until then we should walk with the
pipe and use it in a good way.
The first rite of the pipe is
the Keeping and Releasing of the Soul. The second is the Inipi, the
Rite of Purification. The third is the Hanblecheyapi, Lamenting for
a Vision. The fourth is Winwanyag Wachipi, the Sun Dance. The fifth
is the Hunkapi, the Making of Relatives. The sixth is Ishna Ta Awi
Cha Lowan, the Preparation of a Girl for Womanhood. And the seventh
is Tapa Wanka Yap, the Throwing of the Ball, which teaches us to
become one with our universe.
Always remember your power is
in the pipe, and the pipe can only be as strong as the one who
carries it."
Otis handed Sunbeam a golden eagle feather.
"I give this to you for your Hanblecheyapi. The ways of
Wanbli Gle'ska, Eagle, will give you a good life, and someday maybe
you will be a strong, visionary pipe carrier.
Long ago we
knew that Tatanka, buffalo was our closest relative. We call upon
Mother Buffalo to ask her to breathe upon our young girls during
this puberty transition just as she does for her newborn. When
Mother Buffalo gives birth she always blows a red film over her
calf. This keeps it warm and safe. Pray for her to come and give
you this blessed gift so you may become a kind, giving, patient,
persevering woman.
The American Indian has always made their
pipes. When we take a journey to harvest this sacred stone, we must
stop four times to pray. The fourth stop is at the quarry located in
Pipestone, Minnesota. Many prayers are offered during this time.
There can be no disgruntled people participating in the project, no
weapons, only the simple digging tools are allowed on the premises.
The concentration and efforts are tiring when we sometimes must dig
12 to 15 feet under ground to find the red pipe stone.
It
was a very sad time when the United States of America banned the
Indian's religious rights, prohibiting us to worship God in our own
way. This did not stop the red race from using the old ways to
worship in our own ways. We followed small red pieces of cloth
tied in subtle places to guide us to the upcoming ritual. It
was the old medicine people who knew how to read the seasons and the
placement of the stars in the sky.
They taught us to
watch the stars to tell time. They knew at certain times of the
year, the stars would align themselves with the sacred places on
Mother Earth. This told the people, the above and below were
connected and powers had joined as one. Everyone knew it was time
for ceremony. This natural calendar told the people it was time to
travel to certain places to participate in our sacred ritual.
We as a nation within a nation hold great respect and honor
for our oldest ancestors who taught this sacred knowledge. This
sacred knowledge has been handed down from generation to generation
for eons of time. From birth we share this sacred information with
our young, so they too can pass it on to those not yet
born.
Long ago, I learned to see and understand the
language of energy, a life force, aura. I discovered this
powerful red energy could be seen in the physical world and
understood emotions produce a state of health with honest
intentions. Every shade and hue of color hold an individual power
demonstrating the positive and the negative forces sublimely
produced by the mind whether the color be bold, tint, blush or
shade, each has a special tone and an individual rhythm.
For
instance: red, yellow, black, white, blue, green come in many
mixtures and subtle shades, yet this blending with other colors turn
it into a different meaning. To a degree all colors respond to the
mind received through the thought process. The deeper process lives
in the silence of the heart, consistently expressing who you are in
the moment of each color impression. This sacred red color
pulsates with energy. You can learn and understand the silent
language of all colors with realistic expectations. Color does
affect the success or failure of your goals. I personally love the
silent language of bold colors. My favorite is Red, Black, and
White. When I wear these colors I feel powerful, safe and secure in
all that I am. The positive power of a true Red is passion,
inspiration, stimulation, motivation, encouragement, incentive, a
life filled with an energetic life force. The negative
connotations are, explosive, a crazy wildness, eruptive,
savage, homicidal, fierce, furious, feuds, defiance, trespass,
infringe, disrespect, brutality, pummeling, cruel, abuse,
retaliation, quarrels, bad blood, vengeance, resentment, injustice,
rage, temper, violence and murder. In other words the red beast is
running out of control. The true color of red can be changed to a
different power by mixing it with another color which will change
its vibrations. Such as: A yellowred or a blue-red, crimson,
burgundy, cherry, ruby, scarlet, maroon, will change the meaning of
the true color of red and its original power. .
To look at
the red, tan, yellow, black and white race we can see many different
human colors, yet to understand each other we all must go to the
deep seeded roots, given to us through the DNA of our ancestors. But
never the less, no matter the color, or race of the human, we all
are students of Mother Earth on our personal life journey limited
through our belief systems and our cultural backgrounds.
There are rules that demand we follow with integrity for all
races. We learn through sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. From
a mere child we are psychologically ingrained to keep a strong and
healthy physical body with diet and exercise. In today's times, we
are obligated to preserve this physical gift that houses life.
Did you know that anger, mentally or physically fighting,
will raise the blood pressure, increase the rate of respiration, or
fighting will bring the mind set to physical exhaustion. When a
spirited human decides to prepare themselves for a peaceful life,
they must build a balanced foundation and be willing to freely
express their strong qualities through a strength that embraces
gentleness and encourage others to also abide by Mother Earth's
natural laws. This instinct allows us to stand strong while bravely
moving forward in our life expressing the total integrity of our
personal truth while living in honor of all that we are.
Mortal life on the red Earth is short-lived compared to
time-space-matter and dimension. The wisdom of Red is to commit
and stand in the center of your world growing through all of your
personal experiences while letting this accumulated knowledge guide
you toward your expansion of new growth, yet know it is
impossible to learn everything from the mind. An open heart
filled with love knows and will allow us to achieve anything we want
in life. We must be totally committed to that defined goal, always
using our endurance, mental agility, abilities and emotions. Focus
on your goal, know your objective and stalk your dream as a great
hunter.
One can never be taught to become a great
warrior/warrioress with words, this kind of power comes from
life experiences. Think of the rapids on a fast moving river.
Sometimes life demands you to ride the rapids of life or live
through a tornado, or find the peaceful center of a hurricane. To
accelerate any power, go to your inner instincts of knowing, reach
to the unknown of the universe, become receptive as you flow with
the skills of life in the stillness of the mind.

Hello all of my friends. Jake and
I are joining together to write our column this month.
The
holidays were wonderful. It rained and rained and rained. Then came
the white snow. When I first stepped outside, it brought back
memories when I was a little puppy living in Alaska.
I was
so excited I ran, played and rolled in this white fluffy stuff just
like I did long ago. I coached and coached Jake to get him to come
out and play and have fun but he refused. Oh well, I understand, he
was born in the Las Vegas desert.
We loved our Christmas
gifts. We received many of our favorite treats. Our friend Dave, the
pool man, gave us a big box of cookies. The mommie took us to the
pet store and we picked out new red sweaters, red harness and
leashes. With all this celebration time we both put on a little
weight. Now we are both on a diet and having to take those bad
tasting vitamins.
The mommie and the people are working
outside getting ready for spring ceremonies. We helped them rake
bags of leaves. Our friends Bronc and Jed came over to build new
cement curbs around the walkways, rebuild old man four generations,
fire pit and a new Inipi, sweat lodge, and measured and rebuilt the
vision quest pit, placing a beautiful desert color cement walk way
around it. We worked our paws to the bone. We were excited when the
human's admired the beautiful work. Jake disagreed and he felt it
was not finished. I warned Jake, but he would not listen. He boldly
walked over and placed his foot prints into wet cement. When the
mommie saw this, she screamed in anger, taking us immediately into
the house.
Alas, we now wear our dog leashes to go outside,
only to do our business, not to play in our own yard. Oh well, it's
just a human thing. They always think they know best.
We
watched the mommie and Bronc sitting on the patio discussing this
horrible problem over coffee. We heard him tell her not to worry and
assured her it could be fixed. Personally, Jake thought his
signature looked perfect and became indignant over their decision.
Nevertheless, Bronc told us," Be patient puppies, I will get it
finished in a few days, then you can romp and play in your yard
again.
Well, here we sit depressed behind glass doors
watching the humans working in the yard enjoying the warm sun.
Jake still believes his foot print design is absolutely
beautiful. We decided to ask the readers to help us make the proper
decision.
Vote NO for Bronc and the Mommie
Vote YES for Jake

Wolf Clan Howls - *New* Online
course |
 |
Howling is a long distance
reunion call -- separate a wolf from its pack, and very soon it will
begin howling, and howling, and howling...
I am pleased to
announce a new online course "WOLF CLAN HOWLS".
Reunite with the pack - your true clan. Learn the
ancient techniques of healing and howling, so you may heal
yourselves and others. Read energy, shape shift, howl and ride the
Wolf Wind with Mahinto. "Wolf Clan Howls", an American Indian
online study course, offers a connection to the many traditional
medicine teachings.
Since all things are born from the
sacred circle, these presented teachings will introduce you to
the original representations for all life forces, we are one.
Each subject matter is adapted to fulfill your life as well as many
growth levels of spiritual progress, building you a strong and solid
foundation.
The number Four and Seven hold great significance
to the Indian. The four directions-The four winds-The four
elements-The four stages of life-The four ages of human-The four
seasons-Old man four generations,(fire pit) etc. Take a brief walk
with me through the seven directions. Starting in the West, turning
clockwise, we find the Thunderbeings. The color of the West is
black. Thunderbeings bring us the life-giving rains, personal
strength through introspection, while using our past experiences for
growth. The North claims the color White, the bringer of the snow,
teaching us purity, renewal and cleansing. The East is Yellow,
signifying Illumination, Wisdom, and Clarity. The South is Red, the
place where our physical life ends and our soul life begins, guiding
us to our truth, growth and love. The Above direction embrace the
color Blue. The sky calendars give us the maps to learn about the
many worlds; using the sun, moon, stars, solar systems, galaxies and
the millions of Universes.
The Below direction represents our
green Mother Earth, the one that takes care of all her children. Her
outer beauty surrounds us. Her inner beauty is hidden below the
soil, filled with many powerful colored forms each holding hidden
secrets of great power. And YOU, my friend, no matter your race,
slowly weave the directions together as one massive power. We are
all related.
Take a moment and think of yourself and how you
live your life. Is your mind disciplined? Does your heart
tell you the truth? This study course will help you embrace many
hidden techniques, giving you a happier daily life and peace in your
heart.
The teaching tools come from the oldest of ways,
handed down orally through many generations, through our history,
legends, time, space, matter and spirit.
You will learn
to use this vast knowledge of sacred medicine ways that are needed
in everyday life, all the while feeding your soul as you step onto
the Red Road.
Reflect for a moment and look closer at our
ever- changing times. Today's society neglects the needs of the
people. In the external world, life demands we survive using our
mental capacities to progress forward in the monetary world while
staying in the presence of our non-feeling logical mind.
We
have a right to have the better things in life, and that's good. Why
can't this be accomplished? Why is this journey of life so hard? We
are told to fulfill our material needs. Once this is achieved, why
must we consistently struggle with silent loneliness trying to
fulfill the desperate need of being loved, nurtured, respected and
given kindness? The answer is: THE WALK FROM THE HEART TO THE HEAD
IS ONLY 18 INCHES.
It takes great courage to stand up for
who you are in this dog-eat-dog external world. One must have
strong principles to walk and talk in truth, strength and
kindness. The integrity of the soul yearns for peace and love in
the heart. Creator wants us to live in material comfort yet stay
within the harmonics of the natural laws.
The hardest
word to learn to say is "No!" You must learn to say this word
without guilt or shame. Never let the greedy, lazy, non-loving,
users and leeches in life always have their handout to take from
YOU! Otherwise, they will continue to use you. Once you learn to say
NO to a victimizer, they will always try again and again, until they
find another bleeding heart, caretaker or people-pleaser to take
care of their needs. It seems the ones that are always in need
demand we listen to their sob story and respond in a kind and giving
manner, always remaining positive as you weaken and fulfill their
needs. The users in life will always manipulate you through your
lack of control of your emotional body.
How can you find
inner peace when the another's problems steal the precious time from
your life? More often than not, our careers, associates and family
members bring us the gift of frustration, futility, tiredness,
fear and sleep deprivation. In the name of love why do they take
the quality time from your personal and family life. This emotional
pressure can create disjointed relationships, separations and
eventually family losses through divorce. It is difficult to focus
the mind while living in all this confusion and chaos. We soon find
ourselves in deep depression due to all these job insecurities,
financial problems, incurable diseases, hospitals bills, paying high
prices for our health, home, fire, flood, vehicles, and God knows
all of the other insurance policies.
Some people believe we
will make it, others believe our world is doomed, so why does our
life have so many null and void moments of grief? It seems the human
race and the Government is trying to control how we think, act,
talk, worship, vote, pay our bills and prepay for our death, leaving
little for a savings account let alone anything for a retirement
plan. All the while, you are trying to live a calm and peaceful life
of beauty. How can we ever make a proper decision for the betterment
of our lives, when we are expected to think and act according to
another's wishes?
If you only knew your true Self, you
would be astounded. You are an individual and an incredible
human being. It is your birthright to determine "WHY YOU ARE; WHAT
YOU ARE; WHEN YOU ARE; WHERE YOU ARE; WHO YOU ARE; HOW YOU ARE. To
find the answers to these questions; You must learn to recognize all
of these positive and negative traits in human behavior. When you
can read the colors of a person aura, you are looking at an
energy field emitting their thoughts about you. Become aware;
the entire body speaks a symbolic language; eye contact and body
posture. It is time to challenge yourself and develop all of your
hidden powers. During your reconstruction period, seek total
understanding of all that you are as you gently awaken your inner
dormant abilities. Be patient with yourself and enjoy your
newfound freedom in your own time. Create a strong life of intimacy
with your body, mind, emotions and spirit.
To have a deeper
understanding of your purpose in life, go back and touch Mother
Earth and learn the natural ways of life from all of her
children. These great teachers are the two legs, the four legs, the
creepy crawlies, the green things, the fin things, the flying ones,
the clouds, the elements, the seasons, the morning star, the evening
star, the planets, the solar systems, the galaxies and the millions
of universes we do not know exist.
Collecting and acting on
knowledge brings wisdom to your life by hearing the silent whispers
of nature. This will assist you in defining and re-defining the
harmony needed to direct your soul's purpose on this earth. When
humankind returns to life's natural laws, they will follow the
rhythms of the four season's and learn to cope with the bad past,
all the while fulfilling those empty blank spots of depression with
better choices, using logic, speed and efficiency. This step-by-step
process is letting go of yesterday's hurts and hindrances. It is
time to accept a lifestyle of honor, integrity and simplicity along
with the courage to embrace calmness, poise, grace, and confidence
within the demands of a more practical yet happy lifestyle. Who are
you? Do you control your random thoughts? How do you accomplish a
dream? The weekly internet workshops will teach you this higher
awareness of self and help you expand the mind in all aspects of who
you are: Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, Intuitively, Spiritually
all the while learning how to touch the Soul. Self -Truth of this
higher individual you were created to become. To know the purpose of
your journey on Mother Earth will enlighten you to a truth in time,
space and dimension through these weekly workshops. The Great
Spirit's Universal laws and knowledge are followed and shared with
the Spirit of all life forces. Digest this information and use it in
your daily life, always keeping common sense in the foreground. Take
charge of your destiny. You are the architect. You must make the
perfect blueprint. You are the builder and you are the laborer. You
design your life. Your motivation becomes the backbone of your
future which supports a plan of action. You create the strong
intense passion that feeds the flame to accomplish your desires. You
will awaken to the required tools to make the needed changes in your
life. Learning the American Indian ways will give you the oldest
of tools. The first key is to take control of your mind and find
your heart. This builds a strong belief system and will lead you to
the pathway back to yourself and Wakan Tanka, Great Spirit. When you
follow the old ways, you will soon find your life will be filled
with harmony, love, respect, faith, belief and desire. To honor and
accept all that you are, embracing the bad and the good within you,
without judgment is accepting who you truly are.
To
find the REAL SELF you must support the purpose of your life's
journey, grasping the power of your bad and good experiences and
change them into wisdom. When we sat aside all of our fixed
assumptions about our reality, we then can chart our directions away
from fixed opinions, negative thoughts, beliefs, racism, heritage,
place of birth, titles and education. These categories do not
adequately describe who you really are.
A good life will
flow freely if it comes through an open your heart. Get a new
attitude, enthusiasm in your heart, a real smile on your face, place
zest back into your footsteps. The impact of this way of life will
eventually become automatic as you realize the difference between
external power and authentic internal power.
Can you control
your body heat? Can you direct a focused thought to create "sweat"
on the brow? Can you raise or lower your body temperature one degree
with a projected thought? With purpose and direction, you can
command your body -mind connection to give you the needed strength
to control, a thought, a physical action, whatever it takes to
fulfill your own special needs. The mind, the body, the emotions and
the spirit, all serve your PURPOSE, while living comfortably within
the guide lines of today's modern structure.he Wolf pack is
gathering...
Talk quietly to the inner voice of
peace.
Reach beyond your ancestor's crucial battles for
the freedom that was once fought. Walk gently on Mother Earth
with your grandmother's gift of the old ways taught. Understand
this knowledge that your people so graciously left. Then and only
then, will you understand the true quality of knowing your
self.
If you owned the world, what would you do with
it? If you have no destiny, where would you go? If you have
yourself and you hold it endearing, You have the human's richest
gift - let it unfold. Human is many to tie into one. It's up
to you to see this is done. To know your past, present and future
is to accept your life. To know how to attain it is your goal
- without strife. To have the worlds riches, silks and
golds Is only the material beginning to unfold. When you have
obtained all your wealth and do as you are told, Then with your
"worldly ransom" you search for your soul To find yourself is the
crown and the throne To sit upon it, is yours alone, boldly
diminishing as hard as a stone To have the riches which comes
from within is to possess all from beginning to end To know the
world and what you will do with it Is to know your destiny and
where you will go. To have this knowledge and above all your
soul. All things are yours to have and to hold. Take my hand
and let me show you another way so you to can reach out your hand
in a in a kind way The way to happiness - the way to
pray." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear subscribers, Many of you have
given me support during my learning curve with the newsletter. I
thank you for your patience.
It has been brought to my
attention through the many received emails that many have wanted to
study these ways. I have pondered my answer for many months and
possibly have found a direction.
Remember the newsletter
problems before we found Nancy Mehegan? I must say she is a blessing
to all of us. With much thought and her support, I am considering an

"Wind Wolf Woman", an autobiographical account, chronicles
the life history of a fourth-generation American Indian medicine
woman who learns to balance on the razor's edge between two
cultures - the Red world and the White world - with vastly
different belief systems. In this epic journey of her search for
identity and spirituality, she struggles determinedly to find a
place for herself in both cultures while battling rejection. After
traveling around the world and learning from many spiritual
teachers, she returns full circle to her traditional Indian roots.
Born an illegitimate breed and deposited days later on her
father's doorstep she knew nothing of her birth mother until later
in life. Named Sunbeam by her paternal grandmother and raised under
her strong hand of discipline, Sunbeam learns the sacredness of all
life and how it relates to the medicine ways.
In crafting her
life story, Mahinto - lecturer, teacher, and medicine woman -
reveals the twentieth-century plight of the Indian people, who until
recently were portrayed as a nomadic race riding free as the wind
over the land they called home. At the same time, she offers promise
that all cultures can, by honoring the preciousness of life, walk
together in harmony on our sacred Mother Earth.
