FOURTH WORLD

Sotuknang stood on the sandy beaches, watching the masses of people struggling to reach their endless journey.

From time to time they would find a beautiful place to rest, only to be told by Spider Woman, they must move on or they would once again fall into evil ways. Using their strongest efforts, everyone opened their spiritual centers, letting Sotuknang guide them spiritually to the shores of Fourth World.

Silence Reigned! The people could feel Sotuknang's presence and knew their journey was ending and a new search was about to begin. The people reached the shore and quietly sat in groups waiting for Sotuknang to speak. "When you were in trouble and cried out for help, it was I who calmed the churning waters. It was I, who removed your footprints to never be found. It was I, who sent the stepping-stones down to the bottom of the seas along with Third World and its magnificent cities, flying machines and their most coveted treasures.

"In time, you will see these stepping stones and their magnificent coveted old treasures rise again to prove the truth I speak. Now, you must go claim the land for Creator and follow your star to meet the sea, journeying onward to the four directions which will guide you to your permanent home. It is time to seek your strengths and remain close to the Great Spirit. It was the Great Spirit who gave the name, Tuwaqachi to Fourth World, which means World Complete. Her color is yellowish- white and her direction is the North. Her gifted tree is the Juniper. The power bird is the Owl. She teaches the skills of patience and observation when guiding a quest. The Mountain Lion is the animal who gifts us with the power of detachment and observation.

"Fourth World was built upon the power of duality. Its energy can consume or rebirth all life forces by the power of a directed thought. Hot-Cold, Wet-Dry, Up-Down, Life-Death and Win-Lose. This added collection of human behavior is also influenced by how we exhibit our attitude, emotions and values. Our genetic blood-lines are structured by our strongest perceptions. A choice of thought or action will bring doom into a life and pass it along to our future relatives through our DNA.

"Long ago, each of you was seeded by the ancient ones, who gifted all life forces with a wildness of freedom which comes from within the Soul. You were born to fulfill your duties to Mother Earth and Father Sky and to teach your children's children to honor and follow the sacred laws of the land. If you do these things, a greater peace will fill your heart and your children will continue to give assistance from generation to generation, so they too, may experience the total concept of being as one with the ALL." Suddenly, a flash of hidden silence held a spinning sun as Sotuknang vanished into a shimmering mist of shades of rippling gold, followed by a loud rumbling noise that pierced the universe.

The people immediately recognized the duality of Ma'saw known as the deity of the Fire Clan. Ma'saw is also known as Skeleton Man, the ruler of death and the underworld, the keeper of the fire, and the Master of the upper World. He was there when the people escaped from Third World and promised he would bring chaos to Fourth World if they did not follow Creator's rules.

Their are many diverse myths about Ma'saw. He is a handsome man beneath his mask; sometimes he exposes himself as a bloody fearing monster. The long ago people remembered when he was removed from his power in third world for displaying his arrogance and disrespecting Creator. Ma'saw, now holds a position of protector, guardianship and caretaker of the land in Fourth World. He handed the people a detailed plan for their migration and snapped harshly! "You cannot idly walk around until you find a place that suits your comforts and needs. You must find your place and fulfill your destiny. Now Go!" demanded Ma'saw.

Overtime, people had forgotten the migration rules and settled in the comforts of the tropics, while others chose to live in the beautiful stone cities. There were a few who remembered their commitments and continued their migration and purifications ceremonies, never succumbing to the weakness of indulgence.

A small group continued their travels in the four directions: North, South, East and West, where earth meets the seas and back again, making a cross which is the center of the Universe. These stretched out arms could reach the four directions, clockwise and counter clockwise returning to the center which created a cross, Swastika corresponding with the movement of Mother Earth and Father Sun, the future home for the Hopi's.

Since the beginning of time, the Hopi were considered the oldest of record keepers in North America. The town of Four Corners is bordered by four sacred mountains and surrounded by Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado, coming together as a cross. Their beliefs and teachings are also expressed by the Mayans as well as many other indigenous tribes, all bonded as one with the same beliefs within the cycles of time and considered with in each cycle, a world within a world.

In the beginning, the selfless people happily shared their symbolic teachings particularly the spirals and circles. The first stage in the mother's womb and the second stage are recognized after its birth. The umbilical cord leads us to the path of emergence. A circle symbolizes Mother and Child. Whereas, the Square represents a spiritual rebirthing from one world to another.

The sacred underground Kiva, represents the world below, connected through a small hole carved in the center of the Kiva floor, the place of a previous emergence. A ladder will lead you to the flat roof of the Kiva, providing the participants to reach a higher potential within their visionary abilities when entering the many universes, yet to be known. The Kiva also protects the sacred boundaries of Hopiland and their many secret shrines throughout the reservation. All of these formations and symbols can be found today in their pottery, basket ware, the Kachina rattles and altar boards. If you ever find a broken pot etc, do not remove it. It represents the original message, which indicates the ways the Clans once traveled.

"It was common knowledge for all tribal members to be taught to identify with others through their kindness, beliefs, culture and language. Sometimes they were hindered by many of the old taboos that were handed down from their ancestors. The medicine people would resolve a situation by using their cognitive ability through the higher process of maintaining stillness within their emotional body. They learned many of these things from the drawings of the cave dwellers.

The feared and considered the great powers of a lightening strike. When this happened they quickly performed an old fire ceremony to make peace with that element. They would still their mind and pray as they walked over the land, mimicking the actions of the lightening bolts patterns. Everyone joined in to set a controlled fire, burning off the dead debris, giving the land seven years of stillness to rejuvenate the richness of the soil before planting again.

New seeds are being planted daily within the universe such as stars, planets and the hearts of people, nations, and races. These gentle souls will merge into fifth world and connect to the nine underworlds, which is the history of the human life since the beginning of first world. Anyone can read the core of a person, place or thing. This comes from your inner feelings and teaches you to understand body language, how to read eye contact, or a mere movement within another's facial expression. These unspoken skills comes from a deep knowing that will give you the ability to respond to what ever need is necessary at that moment.

History proves our first written communication skills still echoes through our symbolisms. This knowledge was taken from the many paintings found within the caves and huge boulders, stone carvers, clay tablets, metallurgist and artisans from around the world. The ancient ones willingly shared their knowledge with each other and over time they built upon the depth of understanding the following words in the process of total development for the human; balance, emotions, intellect, mind and the heart from within. The depth of all life's experiences will teach you to except silence if you wish to elevate to a greater depth of spiritual survival skills. The first and most important lesson is to rid yourself of a calloused heart otherwise, you cannot speak a soothing word, you can only mimic the echo of a faint beat of a drum moving swiftly beyond your universal grasp.
